Special Ops—Boot Camp
As part of an elite scouting force, you and your patrol are entered into a special training simulation where you must navigate through hostile territory, complete a variety of chal-lenges using your vast array of well honed scout skills and overcome various challenges by creative thinking and teamwork.
At stake is the coveted ” fleur-de-lis ” trophy for the patrol with the best overall score. Do you have what it takes? Are you prepared? Accept the challenge and we will see!
When: March 1st – 3rd

When: Week 5 June 30 – July 6 Fourth of July
Departure: Sunday June 30th at 11am from the At Home parking lot
Return: Saturday July 6th around 1:00pm at the At Home parking lot
Understanding the Course Schedule:
The numbers in the A/Y column refer to the Number of years at camp/minimum age.
1 = First year/ age 11
2 = 2nd year / age 12
3 = 3rd year / age 13
etc. Keep this in mind as you pick your classes.
Some Merit Badge and Advancement programs offered at Camp Rainey Mountain have either an associated additional fee or require that a Scout purchase a kit or materials in the trading post upon arrival. This chart designates which fees should be paid with the balance of your camper fees and which fees simply require Scouts to bring additional cash for a trading post purchase. Trading
post items cannot be pre-purchased or credited from camper’s fees.

Want to earn Climbing Merit Bagde? Want to just hang out and go climbing or repelling with your friends? Register for February’s Climbing outing at Summit Climbing.
When: February 9th – February 10th
All participants must have a valid liability waiver on file. Any participant under 18 years of age must have a waiver on file signed by his/her parent or legal guardian. If the parent or legal guardian will not be present, the waiver can be completed online. Please note: legal guardians must provide proof of guardianship to sign a child’s waiver.

Don’t forget that December 10th is our annual Court of Honor / Banquet. This will be at 7pm in the Fellowship Hall, behind the Sugar Hill Church chapel. The troop will provide the meat, but everything else is pot luck. So, please bring a large side dish to share:
Last name A-D: Desserts (brownies, cakes, cookies, etc.)
Last name E-J: Salads (tossed, Caesar, deli, pasta, etc.)
Last name K-P: Vegetables (green beans, corn, mashed potatoes, veggie tray, etc.)
Last name Q-Z: Casseroles (mac&cheese, green bean casserole, vegetable casserole, etc.)
Adult leaders, please arrive a little early to help set up. The committee will bring drinks and service items (e.g., plates, napkins…)
